T-Mobile 3G Update
Let me tell u something…..first, One day while trying to phone my friend from UK my phone just kept disconnecting - exactly the moment it was actually getting the connected. This continued on and off for the entire day. I initially thought it was one of the troubles on my phone getting a bit too smart for itself and taking out the connection. So at that point it was time to call T-Mobile Business support…
I came to know all of a sudden that T-Mobile are doing work on providing improved levels of 3G coverage over a greater area of the UK. My disconnection was simply the knock of this fact for which all the subscriber were likely get random disconnection when trying to make calls if they have 3G activated.
The reason behind my story was to tell you about the 3G update issue of the T-mobiles which became the last major mobile carrier to announce its third-generation (3G) network, progressing out the system in New York City and UK. Unlike Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile’s 3G systems primarily focused on providing clearer calls rather than music stores, video clips, and Web browsing.
By year’s end, T-Mobile expects its high-speed data network to be availed by those cities where a majority of its subscribers currently use data services. But there is a fence round the accomplishment. It’s extremely unusual for a carrier to launch 3G with no new data services or flashy smart phones that use the high-speed network. Moreover many of the T-mobile don’t have real Web browsers—in fact, users are forbidden from loading the Opera Mini Web browser. They all use mid-speed UMTS, which runs at 384 kbps for download, rather than the much faster HSDPA. However, users can connect them to a PC as a modem. That is the setback what T-mobile experts are conforming but that’s what are that T-Mobile is working with.
Another dilemma is, when most people think of 3G— third-generation mobile-phone networks—they think of speedy data connections. But a fewer-known advantage of switching to 3G for a GSM carrier like T-Mobile is improved voice quality and more voice capacity. The 3G system, used by GSM carriers called UMTS (universal mobile telephone system) is completely unusual and more efficient than T-mobile. That is especially critical in cities where T-Mobile is spectrum-constrained for what T-Mobile had to struggle with calls dropping and not going through as its network is literally overloaded with traffic.
The 3G launch lets the carrier attack this problem in two ways. First of all, T-Mobile’s 3G is on a new spectrum: Therefore, any call made on a 3G phone, in a 3G city, doesn’t touch T-Mobile’s existing, overloaded network. Secondly, 3G can carry more calls per megahertz. Isn’t T-Mobile’s only attempt to fix its weak spectrum position?
T-Mobile is the only carrier in the world to run 3G UMTS on 1700, so phone makers will have to retool their devices specifically for T-Mobile. That isn’t too difficult, but it does mean a T-Mobile-specific phone model. Sony Ericsson, Nokia, i-Mate, and HTC have all expressed interest. Moreover it will be tested that in the near future what advantages they offer over the carrier’s GSM-only lineup.

Americas Rising Gas Prices: A BIG Problem?
Gas prices are soaring high throughout the world, at this point though Americans are crying out loud; they are unaware of the fact that they are enjoying some of the lowest gas prices as compared to Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Yet this isn’t an excuse. The reason for high gas prices is simply supply and demand in this country, not the cost of barrel of crude oil, be it purchased from Saudi Arabia or elsewhere. The country has not built any new plants (at least any that provided a significant increase to the ability to increase production of refined oil products) since the mid to late 1990s.
Moving a little back to history might help to track down the problems with gas price. Through the 1960s the U.S. was self-sufficient in natural gas and wasted large parts of its withdrawals by venting and flaring. Gas flares were common sights in oilfields and at refineries. U.S. natural gas prices were relatively stable at around 1930s and the 1960s. Prices were reduced to half during the late 1940s, when more than 20 percent of the natural gas being withdrawn from U.S. reserves was vented or flared.
While the effects of flares started to show up during 1990s with repeated spikes in
pricing. As of 2006 the U.S. Interior Department estimated that the Outer Continental Shelf of the United States held more than 15 trillion cubic meters of recoverable natural gas, equivalent to about 25 years of domestic consumption at present rates. Total U.S. natural gas reserves were then estimated at 30 to 50 trillion cubic meters, or about 40 to 70 years consumption.
All these statistics stand meaningless when the current gas prices are consider
ed. Now the main concern is to reduce the prices, though there is not much hope for reduction. Yet some are suggesting a suspension in federal gas tax might help.
Rising gas prices has affected the life of normal people’s life severely; some are a
ctually trying to cut down the use of gas from daily routine. When prices soared past $3.40 a gallon in California last November, demand plummeted 3.7%.
Some analysts see California’s experience as a sign that a plunge in national demand could occur. Still, when summer arrives, demand will rise regardless of how high prices have soared.
This expectation of higher summer demand is boosting gas prices now, but prices
are also rising because refiners are switching over from winter grade gasoline to the more expensive but less polluting fuel they’re required to sell in the summer. That has pulled supplies lower lately as refiners try to sell off all of their winter fuel.
The solution for alleviating effect expensive fuel no more lies in reducing the pr
ice. Thus other modifications are required, like developing more fuel efficient cars is a venture on which
US government is emphasizing. Developing more public transport might prove to be another effective short-term solution.
The increase in fuel price will moreover reflect the price of just about everything. The demand destruction is necessary so people would have to change their ways of doing things. Bu
t whatever said or done price of gas can’t be suppressed anymore, it would generally trend upwards. How sharply remains to be seen. Gas prices will, over the coming years, keep hitting new plateaus where they will stay for a while, then surge up to a new high. A new level of pain!!

Mr. News Blog Review: HTC Diamond
HTC Diamond is a dream come true for the people who enjoy having the luxury of world in their fist. As already announced it is the successor of HTC TOUCH Pro. High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) is in the process of building up a family of Touch products, of which the HTC Touch Diamond is the fourth and newest member. It has brought a completely new picture of 3G phones with its extraordinary functions. More simply we can say it has the ability to understand what you want from your phone and execute your wishes spontaneously.
Moving ahead with its features, the first thing worth mentioning is its looks because as the saying goes “you believe what you see”. According to Horace Luke (Chief Innovator Officer) of HTC this one is the slimmest and sleekest phone they have design till today. To this we say great success, HTC Diamond’s 2.8-inch touch screen housed within a stunning formation of brushed steel and flawless faceted edges has made it as beautiful to behold as it is to use. Moreover 480×640 pixels, which is 4 times the pixels of most phones, and 65k-color VGA TFT display makes the visibility lucid as never before.
Then comes the most important part that a phone offers to its user; what good is a phone with all its features if the user faces difficulty to use it. Well to get rid of this problem Microsoft and HTC worked hand in hand to build the most user friendly OS for phones. HTC Diamond comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS which provides the phone’s functions a proper interface.
Moving on to the input facilities HTC Diamond is the first of its kind to feature TouchFLO 3D - a new version of the TouchFLO interface, unique to the Touch family. This technology brought contacts, favorite music, videos and photo play and launch functions at the fingertips. Unlike similar devices, HTC opted for resistive technology for the touchscreen rather than capacitive. However, the buttons beneath the screen, as well as being pressable buttons, have capacitive touch sensitivity. This feature is used by the camera application to auto-focus the camera as a finger approaches to press the button that will take a picture.
The awesome camera that the phone features would make the user forget about the digital camera lying somewhere on their desk. A 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera will help you capture the perfect moment in style and with a massive 4GB of internal storage you can keep all the files you need.
The credit for the phones speed goes to its 528 MHz (Qualcomm MSM7201A) CPU and 256 MB internal flash memory, 192 MB RAM with massive 4GB internal storage which enables the user to save all important and not so important files.
Yet again the phone proves its brilliance with its HSDPA technology which confers the connectivity speed of 7.2Mbps (broadband-like speed) and as well as HSUPA wireless connectivity.
The integrated ultra-sensitive GPS will helps to find destination as quickly and efficiently as a dedicated satellite navigation unit.
HTC Touch Diamond Miscellaneous features:
· Connectivity: GSM / GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g, USB
· Battery: Rechargeable 900mAh Li-ion battery (up to 396 hrs standby, 5.5 hrs talk time)
· Physical size: 102 x 51 x 11.5 mm (4 x 2 x 0.45 in)
· Weight: 110 g (3.9 oz)
With all these powerful functionalities engrossed within it the HTC Diamond should no longer be called a phone rather it is a powerful Pocket PC for all those who want the universe at their fingertips. So what are you waiting for!!!

Mr. News Blog Outlook: Obama VS McCain
Barack Obama is likely to hammer off John McCain in European vote: this is the news might have been buzzed around us recently. To articulate it in more political mode, the Democratic Party possibly come over the Republican Party through a stiff political combat by the means of US election 2008.Senator Barack Obama is expected to come forward as Europe’s preferred candidate for America’s presidency with a 52 percent support across five of the world’s richest nations including Britain. The battle appears still tough that is reasoning over many rationales approximating Iraq war outlook, economic awareness and political skill.
Obama as a consistent opponent of Iraq war in the race for presidency stood against the Iraq war follower McCain. Meanwhile, Obama commands a clear lead. He is especially popular in Italy, where a remarkable 70 per cent would vote for him if they could. On the contrary, McCain, a strong supporter of the Iraq war, is the least popular potential president in all the countries surveyed. If the result resembles this story a newly fortified Democratic majority will unquestionably pressure the next president for taking out from Iraq and implement a more cynical approach to trade and foreign investment in U.S.
Another issue that follows the contest is McCain’s lack of experience on economic issues. It is projected that he is likely to form an economic team with some of the most capable minds out of his assistants. Senate voting record suggests that he’s a centrist and consensus seeker with a long history of working with liberal Democrats. If nothing else, Obama fallback McCain in assess of Senate allies. McCain got hands who can help him to reinforce the profligate spending proposals and draconian legislation aimed at China’s trade policy that are likely to emerge from the House.
Third question is about their political proficiency. John McCain’s first considerable political experience came as a self-described “foot soldier in the Reagan revolution.” As a prisoner of Vietnam War, his influential life experience came out to be triumphant political leader. Surprisingly this Arizona senator is found as a distant warrior, to whom international politics is an absolute struggle between liberal democracies and totalitarian system. On the contrary, Obama’s conservative supposition about American power and idea to concentrate on 21st century problems in international politics provide him with a better chance than McCain.
As Barack Obama and John McCain participate in this election this fall, the world is offing for the conclusion that comes out to judge them in fact. It has become now simply a matter to debate about their probability to come first because both are powerful to different extent though Obama is stepping ahead. Factually the world is under a big question mark that will Obama be able to convince voters who are more than an orator, or will McCain convince voters by all his talk about a post-partisan America? Alike all we all have to just keep our eyes on the follow-ups to see the future president of U.S.

Obama Clenches the Democratic Nomination
Obama, the 1st ever African American to win the race towards American leadership. On Tuesday, June 3, it had been confirmed that Obama is the candidate from Democratic Party to run for the presidential elections that is due in November.
He started his life from Honolulu, Hawaii in August 8, 1961 as the son of a Kenyan father and an American mother. Obama spent a few years of his life in Indonesia in 1960s which he remembered in a memoir as “bounty of a young man’s life”. He graduated in 1983 from Columbia and pursued his studies in law under Harvard School of Law. In 2004, he became the senator of Illinois and now he has emerged as the historic candidate of election for USA president.
Obama is already being called to be the man to create history. His win over candidate race itself is a history as everybody knows he is the first black to be nominated as a candidate to acquire presidency.
The journey that started exactly before 6 months on January 3 from Iowa caucus is now standing at the point of precipice, from where only one will head towards the actual victory; and the man is none but Senator Barack Obama. As amazing as Obama’s victory is, it is more astounding because it came at the expense of Hillary Clinton who was backed by the Democratic Party establishment. Obama, a first term senator who was literally unknown on the national stage even 4 years ago, defeated ever popular Clinton, the former first lady and one time “inevitable nominee” in 17 month marathon for the Democratic nomination.
According to the Associated Press count, super delegates pushed Obama over the 2118 delegate hump even before the result of last two primaries of Democratic contests in South Dakota and Montana became known. On winning tally he was far ahead of Clinton.
He started the campaign on the theme of change. Short and simple as his theme goes, is also very meaningful when thought about from a broader perspective. At this era when America’s image to the whole world is nothing but a commercial demon, this candidate has shown his care about world opinion and also promised to abandon the arrogance and high handed unilateralism. His specific pledge of bringing end to the US occupation of Iraq has certainly brought a breath of fresh air.
Obama drew huge attention from blacks, and from more of the younger, more liberal and wealthier voters throughout the USA. Whereas the downscale voters. And women preferred Clinton.
Obama in his electrifying winning speech highly acknowledged Hillary and Bill Clinton saying “Senator Hillary has made history in this campaign, not just because she is a woman who has done what no woman has done before, but because she is a leader who inspired millions of Americans with her strength, her courage, and her commitment to causes that has brought us here tonight”.
Obama has now only a few days to catch his breath before starting the ultimate campaign for presidential election. With the tremendous popularity bestowed on him, what Obama now need is support from the Clinton’s fleet of white working class voters, women and Hispanic voters. As well as if the US economy remains as bleak as it is now and the war in Iraq remains as unpopular as it is now and no new complication pops up out of the blue then the man we are all looking at now will be the first African-American president.

Mr. News Blog Review: Blackberry Bold (9000)
Smart phone took its next step with Blackberry Bold 9000, one of the most elegant and smartest mobile phone of modern era. Though it has been given the model name Blackberry 9000, it is more popularly known as BlackBerry Bold. It can be described as one stop phone. This enigmatic phone provides uncompromising style and features like never before. The “bold” is used as its name in order to remind the world of its power. The half-VGA (480×320 pixel resolution) and a 65,000-color display of the phone furthermore justifies its name. During the research and testing period experts kept on calling it “Bold and Brilliant” hence the name Blackberry Bold was born. The stunning display gives a feel as if the sharp and crisp images are popping out of the phone and coming to life. After long periods of examination not a tinge of blurriness or pixelation was detected. Moreover the phone’s curved edges and silver lining bordering the black casing enhances the display view.
The slick plastic on back plates has gone out of date and this one has a unique thick leatherette texture. If you are a freak for customization and want your phone look different from that of others, here it is replaceable back plates are also available in color range of blue, grey and red. The interesting vital statistics of the phone reveals 4.5 inches height by 2.6 inches width by half an inch depth, and it weighs 4.7 ounces.
Now personally most favorite part of the phone is its smart memory which makes the phone work at a speed of shooting star. The powerful 1GB on-board (storage) and 128 MB Flash (applications) is supplemented by the micro SD/SDHC expansion slot (supports up to 16GB cards). What more can be expected!
Well yet to come is its lush processor information: The RIM Blackberry Bold is equipped with a 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor which makes its performance smoother and faster. Nothing more to say on this context except for Enjoy!
The wireless options on the quad-band network system (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) of Blackberry Bold is breath taking, but the most tempting and notable item is the HSDPA/UMTS (850/1900/2100) support that boosts wireless broadband data services speeds to as fast as 7.2 Mbps. Now this is what we really call a 3G cell phone.
The Blackberry phone runs on trustworthy Blackberry OS. One of the fun features includes Media Player, Audio - BlackBerry Media Sync allows transfer of desktop iTunes music directly to the BlackBerry!!!
To make the phone even better the existing features that has been updated to match the bold and beautiful image of the phone:
- Battery - 1500mAhr lithium cell
- Est. Battery Life - Standby: 13 days, Talk Time: 5 hours
- Media Player, Video Support - DivX 4, Div X 5 & 6 are partially supported, XviD is partially supported, H.263, H.264 and WMV3

- Camera - 2.0MP, 5 x digital zoom (with flash of course)
- USB Port - Enables charging and high-speed data synchronizations via USB “A” to mini-USB “B” cable (I can personally say moving files back and forth is now lightning quick!)
- Browser - HTML browsing, View Movies/Clips from websites built for mobile streaming, RSS feed support
The final comment that can be is BlackBerry is certainly a phone to match the taste of business professionals and power users.

New tiny 5MP camera from Sharp
Sharp (you know, the guys that make all the Sidekicks except the Slide) have announced a new tiny but high resolution (5MP) camera that even has auto focus. If you ask us, this looks amazingly similar in size and shape to the cameras currently in the Sidekick LX. Sharp says the new camera will be available for mass production in July so chances are we won’t see this in the Sidekick Gekko. But this would be something to keep an eye out for the Hiptop m3 (or whatever they’re going to call it), which we speculate will be coming out at the end of the year.

Obama blasts Bush, McCain over ‘attacks’
WATERTOWN, South Dakota (CNN) — Sen. Barack Obama linked Sen. John McCain Friday with what he called “the failed policies” of the Bush administration, accusing the presumed Republican presidential nominee and the White House of “bombastic exaggerations and fear-mongering” in place of “strategy and analysis and smart policy.”
“What we’ve done over the last eight years does not work,” the Democratic front-runner said.
Obama accused McCain of supporting a track record from the Bush administration that included the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, a longer and more expensive war in Iraq than was initially projected, the continued freedom of September 11 mastermind Osama bin Laden and the strengthening of Iran after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.
